After a stint in the newspaper industry as a journalist, Jamie Hergott joined the A/E/C industry two years ago. Ever since becoming a member of SMPS in 2008, she has depended heavily on contacts and friends made through the Indiana Chapter of SMPS. When not in the office, Jamie loves a good run, a good book, and a good time with her husband, family, and friends. She decided to serve on the SMPS Board as Communications Chair in order to give back after experiencing an enriching first year in SMPS.

Interesting fact: Jamie's parents are in the movie Benjamin Button. They were having dinner in New Orleans when the movie crew showed up to film. You can her my mom’s red sweater in the frosted glass of the restaurant when Brad Pitt is hailing a taxi after the scene where they are having dinner.
